Baseball Recap: Crete Has No Trouble Against York

Crete got themselves on the board against York on Monday, but York never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over the Dukes. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Triston Lenhoff, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ethan Placzek, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Crete and bumps their season record up to 13-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for York, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
