The Galesburg Silver Streaks were the 55-41 winner over the Quincy Blue Devils when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Galesburg falling 62-43. They have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Jada Brown was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with nine rebounds and three steals for Quincy. Brown continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Myley Longcor was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Galesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 20-4. As for Quincy, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5.
Galesburg will take on East Moline United at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (East Moline United is ranked 46th, while Galesburg is ranked 28th). As for Quincy, they will head out on the road to take on Sterling at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sterling is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
