Wildwood is on a five-game streak of home losses, North Marion a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Wildwood Wildcats will take on the North Marion Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Wildwood ended up a good deal behind Hope Academy and lost 63-48.
Despite the defeat, Wildwood saw an underclassman step up: Zayden Garcia scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Terriyon Bryant, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
North Marion suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Lecanto by a score of 53-51.
Wildwood has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for North Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Wildwood barely slipped by North Marion in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 55-54. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was North Marion's Elija Walton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be that much easier for Wildwood to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
