Ferndale extended the longest winning streak in Humboldt-Del Norte - Little 4 this week by beating South Fork, 49-23. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Wildcats.
St. Bernard's took down Hoopa Valley 40-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jack Rice threw for 75 yards and 40 touchdowns, ran for 29 yards and caught 2 passes for 17 yards in the win.
The Crusaders' dynamic duo of Rice and Oscar Pimentel proved tough for the Warriors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jason Seaman helped St. Bernard's' passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 93 yards.
Noah Davis was a passing and rushing force as St. Bernard's beat Hoopa Valley. He completed 18 passes for 282 yards and 4 touchdowns and also ran for 33 yards. Davis' favorite target this week was Pimentel, who caught 3 passes for 95 yards.
Matthew Tomlin's team's Davis and Chandler Wilson have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Davis has thrown for 1,297 yards this season, while Wilson has 45 catches for 615 yards. The Cubs' Joey Wittlake leads the league in rushing yards with 809.
