Shea not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 28, 2024 (when they won 10-0). They put the hurt on the Central Knights with a sharp 15-5 victory. With that win, the Raiders brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.
Taylor Kane was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Kane was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Laurel Christian was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Genesis Morales, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Shea kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only managed seven hits.
Shea moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
