MAIS AAA I District 1 recap Nov. 7, 2012
Jackson Academy extended the longest winning streak in MAIS AAA I District 1 this week by beating Presbyterian Christian, 40-32. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Raiders.
Pillow Academy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,296 from 8,982.
Madison Ridgeland Academy's Caleb Shufelt and Will Trammell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Shufelt has thrown for 1471 yards this season, while Trammell has 47 catches for 837 yards. Nick Guy from Jackson Academy leads the league in rushing with 1011 yards.
Duncan Maxwell of the David Skyes' team is only 45 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Maxwell has rushed for 955 yards on 78 carries so far this year.
