The Wooster Colts had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Hug. Wooster pushed the score to 39-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hawks had little chance of recovering from.
Among those leading the charge was Taimane Talamoni, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aliitasi Bates, who scored nine points.
Wooster is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Hug, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wooster will take on the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully South Tahoe focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Wednesday. As for Hug, they will be playing at home against the Railroaders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sparks is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
