Volleyball Recap: Sandwich Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Sandwich came into Wednesday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Harvard Hornets on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Sandwich won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 26-24.

Alayla Harris paced Sandwich's offense, picking up four kills. Harris got some help from Khloe White and her five assists. Rylee Huml controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sandwich's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Harvard, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Sandwich wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Richmond-Burton on the 10th. As for Harvard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Wauconda on the 6th.
