It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Lutheran Lions can now relate to. They suffered a tough 33-8 loss at the hands of the Tigers on Saturday. Lutheran's defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Ryken Daugaard threw for 127 yards on ten of 25 attempts.
Ben Herbek was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards. On the ground,
Cole Johnson rushed for 78 yards on only 11 carries.
It was another big night for Rylan Cooney, who threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown for Holy Family. Another player making a difference was Dominic Gabriel, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Holy Family, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
Lutheran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Holy Family also has no future games currently scheduled.
