The Ayersville Pilots stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Paulding 56-36. The victory was just business as usual for Ayersville, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Taylor Craft was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 13 points, 23 rebounds, and 13 blocks. Craft is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Kendra Waldron was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Despite the defeat, Paulding saw an underclassman step up: Kayleigh Dunham scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ameah Carr, who scored six points.
Ayersville's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Paulding, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Ayersville will head out on the road to take on Holgate at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Holgate is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Paulding, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Bluffton at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Bluffton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
