It was a good run, but the Jones Trojans unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 44-31 to West Oso. Jones was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Oso apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Abby Del Bosque, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kaydence Menchaca, who scored nine points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Oso to victory, but perhaps none more so than malaigha sweats, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Shaw, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Jones' defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-11. As for West Oso, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Calhoun the next time they take the court. West Oso will head out to face Calhoun at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Jones will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
