While the Red Bud Musketeers's win against the Marissa/Coulterville Meteors wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came away the winners. Red Bud had just enough and edged Marissa/Coulterville out 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Red Bud has posted since November 17, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Red Bud to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addi Dilley, who scored 13 points. Lyla Hess was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
The victory (which was Red Bud's third in a row) raised their record to 17-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Marissa/Coulterville, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Bud will take on Valmeyer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marissa/Coulterville, they will head out on the road to challenge Chester at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Chester focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
