Germantown has gone a perfect 10-0 against Brookfield Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Warhawks will venture away from home to take on the Lancers at 4:30 p.m. Germantown knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Brookfield Central likes a good challenge.
Germantown barely beat Divine Savior Holy Angels the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warhawks put the hurt on Divine Savior Holy Angels with a sharp 10-2 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warhawks in their matchups with Divine Savior Holy Angels: they've now won six in a row.

Germantown let Emersyn Coulter and Kennedy Bennett run wild. Coulter went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs, while Bennett went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Coulter has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Grace Wittig also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Brookfield Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Brookfield East 3-2. The three-run effort marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Ellie Brand made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over ten innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. Brand was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maya Fall, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Brookfield Central pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Germantown, their record now sits at 6-0.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Germantown hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .455. However, it's not like Brookfield Central struggles in that department as they've averaged .346. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Germantown took their win against Brookfield Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
