The Oakes Tornadoes stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-34 win over Enderlin at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Oakes as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Oakes' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brianna Schmitz led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six steals. Another player making a difference was Molly Sitzler, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Oakes' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Enderlin, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakes will take on Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Enderlin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wyndmere/Lidgerwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
