The Napa Grizzlies posted their closest victory yet this season on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Mt. Eden 58-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Napa to victory were Jayden Quintana and Eli Mindle. Quintana scored 16 points, while Mindle went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 3 assists.
Napa's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Mt. Eden, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Napa will square off against Sonoma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sonoma Valley is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Mt. Eden, they will head out on the road to challenge Encinal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
