Baseball Game Preview: Katella Knights vs. Costa Mesa Mustangs

The Katella Knights will square off against the Costa Mesa Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Katella comes in on four and Costa Mesa on three.

On Friday, Katella earned a 7-3 win over Kennedy.

The team relied heavily on Julian Bustos, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Robert Barba was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Costa Mesa got the win against Buena Park on Friday by a conclusive 13-5.

Wylan Rottschafer was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Comte, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Costa Mesa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Costa Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Katella, their win bumped their record up to 18-3.
