Yerington had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Silver Stage Nighthawks with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 12 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Alexis Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March.

In other batting news, Kyson Shramek was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Valor Angle was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Yerington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Yerington's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Silver Stage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Yerington will have a chance to go back-to-back against Silver Stage: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
