The Buckholts Badgers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against McDade, falling 47-20. Buckholts has struggled against McDade recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
McDade was led to victory by Summer Jacobs and Steffanie Zavala. Jacobs scored 12 points along with seven steals, while Zavala dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zavala has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessica Dube, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and five steals.
Buckholts' loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.0 points per game. As for McDade, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Buckholts will head out on the road to square off against Round Top-Carmine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McDade, they will be playing at home against Calvert at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
