The Elkmont Red Devils were the 60-45 winner over the Wilson Warriors when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Elkmont fell 41-30 to the Warriors on Monday. Elkmont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Elkmont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Thea Hamlin. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Darby Davis, who scored five points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Elkmont has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Wilson, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-15.
Elkmont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Rattlers at 3:30 p.m. on January 30th. Tanner is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Red Devils a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
