After flying high against the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders last Monday, the Richland Northeast Cavaliers came back down to earth. Richland Northeast fell 56-43 to Ridge View on Friday. While losing is never fun, Richland Northeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while Ridge View is ranked first).
Despite the loss, Richland Northeast had strong showings from William Wilson, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and seven steals, and Ryan Scriven, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Richland Northeast's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 11-7. As for Ridge View, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.
Richland Northeast will head out on the road to face off against Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak. As for Ridge View, they will be playing in front of their home fans against A.C. Flora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A.C. Flora has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 605 points over their last nine contests.
