The Meadowcreek Mustangs were the 57-54 winner over the North Gwinnett Bulldogs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Meadowcreek took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Gwinnett. While losing is never fun, Meadowcreek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while North Gwinnett is ranked 75th).
Meadowcreek lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Damari Wright, who scored 13 points along with five assists. Another player making a difference was Adonai Mussie, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Meadowcreek and nudges their season record down to 5-12. As for North Gwinnett, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Meadowcreek will head out on the road to face off against Norcross at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Gwinnett, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Duluth at 7:00 p.m.
