Teutopolis barely beat Altamont the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wooden Shoes' pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians an 8-0 shutout on Monday. The Wooden Shoes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by six runs or more this season.

The win (which was Teutopolis' third in a row) raised their record to 23-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Altamont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Teutopolis will challenge Benton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Altamont, they will be playing at home against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
