Calvary Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cumberland Valley Christian. Calvary Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cumberland Valley Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Cumberland Valley Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenna Morris, who scored 18 points. Morris is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Victoria Price, who scored 17 points.
Calvary Christian Academy dropped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will take on Hancock at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hancock comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Cumberland Valley Christian, they will be playing at home against Carlisle Christian Academy at 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday. Cumberland Valley Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
