The Environmental Charter White Tigers will square off against the El Rancho Dons at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Environmental Charter and seven for El Rancho.
Last Tuesday, Environmental Charter was beaten by South 70-32. While losing is never fun, Environmental Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 673rd, while South is ranked 131st).
Meanwhile, El Rancho came up short against Salesian on Tuesday and fell 45-36.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Justin Perez, who scored 8 points. Adam Rivas was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 11 rebounds.
The losses dropped Environmental Charter to 4-4 and South to 7-3.
