The Calumet Christian Patriots entered their tilt with the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Calumet Christian managed a 42-37 win over Arthur-Okaw Christian on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Calumet Christian also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Brad Nymeyer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Clayton, who scored five points along with five steals.
Several Conquering Riders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Rutledge, who scored seven points along with three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was James Lee, who scored ten points along with three blocks.
Calumet Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Calumet Christian will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Mid-Missouri HomeSchool at 4:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Mid-Missouri HomeSchool has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 851 points over their last 12 games. Arthur-Okaw Christian will finish 2023 at home by hosting Christian Liberty at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
