Cleveland has gone a perfect 5-0 against Red Bank recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Blue Raiders will be playing at home against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. Cleveland's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Red Bank's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cleveland took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Rhea County an 11-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Caden Tippens, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. River Briggs was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Cleveland hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rhea County struck out nine times.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Red Bank duked it out with Hixson on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-5.

Sean Brune made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Barkeloo, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Cleveland is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Red Bank, their loss dropped their record down to 17-14.

Cleveland came out on top in a nail-biter against Red Bank in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Will the Blue Raiders repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
