Basketball Recap: Skyline Sets Scoring Season-High Against Browne

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyline). They blew past the Browne Bruins, posting a 65-13 victory. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Bruins are ranked 298th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Skyline's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amara Rocha led the charge by going 6 of 9 on her way to 12 points and six steals. That's the most points Rocha has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Seiuli, who went 9 for 10 en route to 18 points and seven boards.

Skyline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Skyline's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Browne, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will host Red Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Red Mountain is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. As for Browne, they will square off against Camelback at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Browne is facing Camelback at the right time seeing as Camelback is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
