Basketball Recap: Treasure Coast Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

After flying high against Lincoln Park Academy last Wednesday, Treasure Coast came back down to earth. The Treasure Coast Titans fell just short of the King's Academy Lions by a score of 63-61 on Friday. The loss was the Titans' first of the season.

Treasure Coast lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Warren Sharry, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Sharry a new career-high. Carmine Anroman was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points.

King's Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javian Jones, who posted 23 points. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 16.8 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah McCoy, who put up 16 points.

Treasure Coast's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-1. As for King's Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Treasure Coast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-56 win against John Carroll Catholic on the 10th. As for King's Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-60 victory against Oxbridge Academy on the 10th.
