Cathedral Prep extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Kamryn Resurreccion. The Ramblers came out on top against the Ursuline Fighting Irish by a score of 3-1 on Thursday for which the team can thank Resurreccion, who had 42 assists and 12 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more assists the last 19 times she's played.

While Cathedral Prep might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Ursuline scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-23.

Cathedral Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kharhys Nickson, who had eight blocks, six kills, six aces, and three digs. Those eight blocks gave Nickson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Moore, who had 18 digs and two assists.

They weren't the only good server: Cathedral Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

The win got Cathedral Prep back to even at 1-1. As for Ursuline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cathedral Prep will host Warren at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ursuline, they will take on Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
