Soccer Recap: Vanguard Extends Winning Streak to Six

Vanguard put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let the Belleview Rattlers onto the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by four goals or more this season.

They hit Belleview with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kendal Davis (3), Ruby Scott (2), Laurel Richmond, and Hannah Milbrandt.

Vanguard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-0-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those eight contests. As for Belleview, they dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vanguard will venture away from home to challenge Forest at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Vanguard's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Forest's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Belleview, they are taking a road trip to face off against South Sumter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
