The Coventry Oakers will head out to take on the Moses Brown Quakers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Coventry is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
Coventry is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Pilgrim, who was ranked first at the time (Coventry was ranked third). The Oakers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Patriots on Thursday.

Sage SoareS spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on LiLyana BeLL, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Fennessey, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Moses Brown not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 9, 2024 (when they won 11-3). They blew past Cumberland 9-1. The game was the first time the Quakers have beaten the Clippers on their field since May 24, 2019.
Elodie Cannon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Monchik, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Moses Brown hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.
Moses Brown's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Coventry, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Coventry hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Moses Brown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Coventry came out on top in a nail-biter against Moses Brown in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Oakers repeat their success, or do the Quakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
