Bellevue has gone 9-1 against Interlake recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wolverines will look to defend their home field against the Saints at 4:30 p.m. Bellevue knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Interlake likes a good challenge.
While Bellevue didn't have the best season last year (they finished 0-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on Foster with a sharp 15-5 victory on Wednesday. Fans of the Wolverines have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Silvia Sohn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mia Kelley was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Naomi Wu was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Bellevue was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .364 or higher in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Interlake's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against Newport - Bellevue, falling 14-3.
Madeline Knight (2028) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Bellevue's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.2 runs over those games. As for Interlake, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Interlake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bellevue hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .430. It's a different story for Interlake, though, as they've only averaged .255. Will they be able to contain Bellevue's hitters?
Bellevue suffered a grim 20-10 defeat to Interlake in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will the Wolverines have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
