Sheridan has gone 8-2 against Fairfield Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Generals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m. Sheridan will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While Sheridan's win against Morgan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Generals narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Raiders 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Generals have posted against the Raiders since May 1, 2019.
Camdyn Packer made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Wamer, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Sheridan: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of James Solomon, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Fairfield Union never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against East Knox on Saturday. They blew past the Bulldogs 14-4. The Falcons not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 7th (when they won 15-5).
Jaxon Iser looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits.
At the plate, Fairfield Union's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Dilcher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Braxton Rowles was another, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Fairfield Union always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Fairfield Union is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Sheridan, their victory bumped their record up to 14-4.
Sheridan took their win against Fairfield Union in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-5 score. Do the Generals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
