The Benjamin Mustangs had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 85-40 win over Jayton on the road. Benjamin's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Benjamin's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grayson Rigdon, who rushed for 278 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Keegan Hayes, who gained 236 total yards and four touchdowns.
Benjamin's win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Jayton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-1.
Benjamin is on the road again on Friday and play against Klondike. Klondike is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Jayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
