Softball Recap: Concord Beats Glenn for Their Third Straight Victory

Concord strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Glenn Falcons by a score of 18-13.

Cassi Reames and Laela Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Reames went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases, while Moore got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Reames a new career-high. Esmeralda Perez was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Concord's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Glenn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Concord will square off against Bremen at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Minutemen are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Glenn, they will face off against Westville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blackhawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
