The Immanuel Christian Warriors will take on the Fredericksburg Christian Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Immanuel Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Immanuel Christian suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2023 on January 8th. They took a serious blow against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, falling 50-18. While losing is never fun, Immanuel Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Saint John Paul the Great Catholic is ranked 144th).
Meanwhile, Fredericksburg Christian was beaten by Seton 70-34 on Tuesday. Fredericksburg Christian has not had much luck with Seton recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Riley Thomas, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Her trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Layna Thomas, who scored seven points along with six assists and two steals.
Immanuel Christian has fallen quite a ways from their 14-7 record last season and are now at 1-10. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
