The McKenzie Rebels can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-39 victory over Riverside.
When it comes to explaining why Riverside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Landon Swindle. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds. Swindle scored a full 51.3% of Riverside's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jack Cupples was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
McKenzie's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Riverside, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
McKenzie will face off against Westview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chester County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
