The Hialeah Thoroughbreds suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Hialeah Educational Academy 65-34. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hialeah has scored all season.
Hialeah Educational Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ian Pascal led the charge by scoring 12 points along with four blocks. That's the first time this season that Pascal posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Jayquan Freeman, who scored six points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Hialeah bumped their record down to 7-5 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hialeah Educational Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.
Hialeah will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. Palmetto presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hialeah in Florida (Palmetto is ranked 115th, while Hialeah is ranked 322nd). As for Hialeah Educational Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against NSU University at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
