North White and South Newton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Vikings will head out to face off against the Rebels at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
North White's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Faith Christian with a sharp 10-0 win.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for South Newton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Frontier on Thursday as they made off with a 15-4 victory.
Briley Iseminger was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Lizzie Corbett was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Faye Springsteen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
South Newton's record is now 8-9. As for North White, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10.
North White skirted past South Newton 5-4 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
