Jefferson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Jefferson Panthers and the Lone Peak Big Horns will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Jefferson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday.
On Friday, Jefferson ended up a good deal behind Manhattan and lost 64-48. Jefferson has not had much luck with Manhattan recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Jefferson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Colt Tietje, who scored 19 points, and Dalton Noble who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Tietje continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Stevens, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins dating back to last season, Lone Peak's good fortune finally ran out last Saturday. They took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Park City. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (59), Lone Peak still had to take the loss.
Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lone Peak, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
