While Taylor Gillispie delivered a dominant performance on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Troup. Gillispie wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was her 12th straight with five or more strikeouts.

Even though Gillispie couldn't lead Troup over De Kalb, she won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Gillispie's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Tigers' 18-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Gillispie and the Tigers surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
