Even though the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles still came out on top. Plymouth Christian Academy narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past St. Mary Catholic Central 58-55. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Plymouth Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Plymouth Christian Academy was led to victory by Ray Weber and Dylan Beasley. Weber scored 21 points, while Beasley scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Sam Poobalan was another key contributor, scoring five points along with three steals.
Plymouth Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plymouth Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet University Liggett at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. University Liggett will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 598th, while Plymouth Christian Academy is ranked 297th). St. Mary Catholic Central will be home for the holidays to greet Grosse Ile at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
