It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Oglesby Tigers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by the Dragons on the road to the tune of 62-16. The win was just business as usual for Oglesby, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Kyler Fossett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 216 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 carries. Fossett has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Williamson, who picked up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Oglesby's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
Oglesby will be playing in front of their home fans against Richland Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Richland Springs is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Iredell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
