The Northeast Dubois Jeeps were the 55-47 winner over the Forest Park Rangers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Northeast Dubois took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forest Park on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Northeast Dubois can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Forest Park is ranked 103rd).
Northeast Dubois lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aidan Sheetz, who scored seven points. Sheetz also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Grant Goller was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Northeast Dubois struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Northeast Dubois' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Forest Park, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1.
Northeast Dubois will be home for the holidays to greet Bloomfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest Park is on the road again on Thursday and play against North Daviess at 6:30 p.m. on December 21st. North Daviess is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
