Temple Christian was the 43-41 winner over Mercy Culture Prep when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Temple Christian Eagles took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mercy Culture Prep Royals. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Temple Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was A Richie, who posted 13 points. L Walls was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Temple Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Mercy Culture Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Temple Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-31 win against Coram Deo Academy on the 13th. As for Mercy Culture Prep, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nazarene Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
