The Trego Golden Eagles will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Phillipsburg Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Trego is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Trego was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Hoxie. Trego has not had much luck with Hoxie recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Phillipsburg beat Hill City 50-42 last Tuesday.
Phillipsburg had a senior duo take command as Rad Rodriguez scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals and Rhett Shelton scored 15 points along with three blocks. Caden Seems was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Trego has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Phillipsburg, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
