The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pullman, who took down 112th ranked Deer Park, 48-20. Justin Cillay threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 28 yards in the win.
Cillay and Jake Staniszewski provided fans with a highlight when they connected against the Stags. The connection was good for 73 yards, the longest such play in 2A Great Northern this season.
The Greyhounds' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Staniszewski chipped in 105 yards. Jackson Kincaid helped Pullman's passing attack out by catching two balls for 39 yards.
Jacob Waller made the biggest impact on defense this week as Clarkston lost to West Valley. The 6-foot-1 senior racked up one sack.
Staniszewski was the best wideout in the league this week as Pullman beat Deer Park. Staniszewski racked up four receptions for 131 yards.
Clarkston's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bantams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Hansen has thrown for 941 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Trevor Sperry has 24 catches for 315 yards. Hansen also leads the league in rushing with 228 yards.
Two of the top units in 2A Great Northern will face off this week when Dan Lucier's team takes on the Bantams. The Greyhounds' offense has racked up 167 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Clarkston has allowed only 206 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on Keith Stamps's team. At the moment, West Valley is in second, while the Stags are in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when Pullman and Dave Curtis's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Greyhounds comes in having scored 167 this season, while the Bantams have scored 88. Pullman scored 48 points last week as it bested Deer Park.
The Greyhounds moved up to 108 from 159 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Pullman climbed the ranks as a result of a 48-20 win over the Stags.
