The Veritas Prep Falcons will head out to take on the Phoenix Christian Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Veritas Prep is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Rocco Guido was his usual excellent self, throwing for 175 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

Meanwhile, while it was Phoenix Christian who put the first points on the board on Saturday, it was Scottsdale Christian Academy who put up more. The Cougars fell 41-34 to the Eagles. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 7-0 in the first quarter.
Veritas Prep will need to focus on slowing down Z'Yeon Rondan, one of several Phoenix Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 127 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Rondan also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending two passes. Aaron Whitten was another key player, rushing for 139 yards while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.
Having lost for the first time this season, Phoenix Christian fell to 7-1. As for Veritas Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.
