Lyndsey Hooker made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off three home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 4-for-4. Those three home runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ella Berlage was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three runs. Vivian McKernan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Melissa put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's sixth consecutive shutout on Monday. They put the hurt on McKinney North with a sharp 16-0 victory. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Makenna Ramsey looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Melissa got a massive performance out of Amariee Bradford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Bradley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Walnut Grove is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Melissa, their win bumped their record up to 27-0.
