West Valley is 9-1 against Wenatchee since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Rams will face off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. West Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
West Valley is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Moses Lake just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 10-4 to the Mavericks.
Calleigh Sinnes ?27 made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Madisen Statler ?26, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wenatchee). They put the hurt on Davis with a sharp 22-3 win on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Lauren Waligorski made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adamarie Iniguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Merz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Wenatchee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .865. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Wenatchee now has a winning record of 9-8. As for West Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. West Valley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Wenatchee struggles in that department as they've averaged .509. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
West Valley got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Wenatchee by a conclusive 13-3 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
